Ethically Sourced Crystals

Ethical sourcing is the process of ensuring that the products made are obtained through responsible and sustainable methods. This would mean that the crystals and minerals are extracted from the ground with minimal environmental damage by miners who are not exploited or suffering terrible working conditions and the profits are not used to fund war, terrorism or political corruption.
There are some countries across the world with productive mines and some have less than adequate reputations. Some producing countries which have marked labor and environmental laws, and where one can feel quite safe in buying crystals and minerals are mostly small scale or artisanal mines where the families or villagers work together often using picks and shovels rather than mechanized equipment.

Ethically sourcing crystals and finding suppliers that we could trust was not an easy task, because there are no standardized regulations on what constitutes an ethically sourced crystal. We put in a lot of research to find our suppliers and resources. This is something we have to do on a regular basis, not because we have to but, because we want to and it is important to us to be completely transparent with where we source our crystals.

We, or our trusted suppliers, have personal contact with several sources have proven to us that they have been to the mines and worked with the mine owners or suppliers.

We do not use just one supplier we work with many suppliers, and small family owned mines here in the US and around the world to seek out the best quality raw, rough, tumbled, polished crystals and minerals.

We hand-select the crystals we provide in our shop as every crystal has unique vibration and we want the crystals to show you their natural powers and beauty. We want you to feel good about your crystal purchase.

There are very few items purchased in the world today which do not have some sort of environmental impact, unfortunately everything we buy has some sort of consequence. We can change our habits to use less plastic, recycle and make informed decisions about what we buy.
